Textbooks & Space Monsters

I finally decided to order my textbooks today after lagging for a good two weeks or so. Its not too big of a deal, the first few weeks of any class are pretty introductory and don't rely on bookwork. I mean we're watching "The Joy Luck Club" in my Asian American history class. But i'm falling behind on my reading and I seriously need to make sure I stay on top of that.

With school out of the way, I'll go ahead and tell you right now that I slept for a good 15 hours last night/afternoon. Woke up just in time to get ready for school today. I don't know if my awareness of my lucid dreams made them more numerous. It sure feels like it did cause I must have had at least four or five dreams that I could remember. One being that my friends and I went to Mexico and we were recruited into a gang. Fun stuff.

So tonight I decided to scare myself a bit and play Dead Space 2. I was a bit surprised however, i've been playing for a few hours and i've only jumped a few times. Its usually when I back up into an enemy and I turn around to see this monster right behind me. For those who have played the game: the game get any creepier? I just got past the cultist church part, and the glass breaks from that gunship. I had to fight that huge monster in space and that was pretty cool. Its kinda like watching a movie during those parts, but if I don't react quickly enough i'll die.

  3. I don't understand how one can sleep for so long, I usually wake up after 7-8 hours and can't get more sleep even if I wanted to

  4. Is it just me or is every Amy Tan book just her bitching about her mother through fictional characters.

  5. The more aware you are of lucid dreams, the more you remember what you have. It's almost paradoxical in the way it is.

  6. Buying textbooks suck. I tend to torrent most of my textbooks and read them on my laptop in pdf form.

  7. Ever played Resident Evil 4? That game was awesome. Same kinda game as Dead Space.
Anyways, you should buy your books from Amazon.com. I hate to feel like I'm advertising, but I saved 100's of dollars every semester buying previous editions. It's usually a big scam too. They don't change anything between editions, just move the picture or chapters around and change the cover so they can make more money on used books. Good luck!

  8. Lucid dreaming is truely fascinating. I only had little experiences with those, but still they were astonishing and I really want more. :]
Both times where really short, though. The first time was a sleep paralysis. I had really strange feeling and some hallucinations of the devil and my dog. รถ_o
Second time I was sleeping somewhere else, keeping it short I jumped through the closed window of my room and hovered next to my house. It felt really great but before I could experience more I was awakened by the girl sleeping next me. Kinda sucked, cause I was just about to get started there.

Don't recall ever really needing to buy them for school. Lucky me.

  10. I've never played dead space, but my buddys say it can get scary. But I just don't think it would that bad. If I get around to playing it I'll be sure to turn all the lights off.

  13. I've heard a lot of people say Dead Space 2 is nowhere near as scary as the first.

I'll probably get it during a steam sale.
