Lucid Dreaming

So I was reading online the other night about lucid dreaming. I've already had plenty of dreams like these, but everyone online is always like, "Oh hey! I'm able to control what I do in my dreams! Isn't that amazing?". Rarely does this happen to me. For the most part when I have those really vivid dreams, its like i'm on a track, so to speak. Unable to move through my dream, as if though everything had been planned out before i'm in it. So I try this method that would supposedly let you take control of your dreams as if they were real life. It kinda worked, although I wish the setting would have been a bit more enjoyable. Ever play the zombie minigame that was included with Call of Duty: World at War? It was like that. Mixed with Left 4 Dead. It was pretty fun at first, but things started getting hectic when I had to save my friends from getting their brains eaten. It wasn't fun when we all ran out of ammo and we ran through the giant mansion looking for weapons. I ended up getting nibbled on by a dog and I told myself, "Wake up!" before I got bludgeoned in the head by an axe. That whole lucid dream stuff is cool when you can fly around and make out with hot chicks. Not so much when its zombies. Kinda reminded me of this PSA I did for my high school about swine flu, back when it was a big deal. Not that anyone got sick anyways.

  1. Swine flu was so over-rated, sure it's a bad illness but I got so dam sick of everyone with a cold saying they had swine flu....

  3. I've tried lucid dreaming before. From what I've read the key is to learn how to realize when you're in a dream. I always have absurd dreams but for some reason I can never realize how unreal they are. Then I wake up and don't even remember the dream until 20 or 30 minutes later when i see something that reminds me of it.

  5. It never worked for me bro. I tried, I really tried. It's really difficult to stay 20min without doing anything and ignore your heart beats.

  6. I've never tried lucid dreaming nor do I think I want to.

Did you jerk around your bed/room while doing this dream?

  8. I've always wanted to lucid dream and I even realized on several occasions that I am indeed dreaming, but I wasn't able to take control.

  9. Oh hey! I'm able to control what I do in my dreams! Isn't that amazing? But seriously it only works sometimes, for me it's whenever I am awakened in the middle of a dream, then fall back asleep (I fall asleep really easily.) One time i was having this horrible nightmare. It was so bad it woke me in the middle of the night. However, I kept thinking about the dream, running through it over and over again in my mind as I fell back asleep. But, I added a little something in to the point that was interrupted (when I woke up momentarily.) That little something of course was that I had superpowers DBZ style. When I fell back asleep these thoughts assimilated into the dream.
So basically I had a horrible nightmare with demons killing everybody or something. Woke up, did my Lucid Dream technique thing. Fell back asleep, my nightmare became a dream where I was just destroying all the demons with lazor beams, and it was the coolest thing ever.
The key is to not entirely wake up when you wake up mid-dream (like being half asleep.) Anyways, good luck Lucid Dreaming! (I found I-Doser actually helps too, but probably only for some people.)
